Byron is a fourth-generation Tampa Bay native. He earned his Bachelor's degree from the University of South Florida in 2011, then briefly worked in politics before spending four years with his family's non-profit educational corporation, Blackstone Prep. During that time he regularly volunteered at Give Kids the World Village, assisting children with life-threatening conditions.

Byron earned his Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School's Tampa campus in August 2018, graduating Cum Laude as the recipient of the school's Leadership Achievement Award. In law school he served as Chief Justice of the Moot Court Board and competed in two national moot court competitions, later returning to judge practice sessions and assist the national teams. He also served as Competition Chairman of the Mock Trial Board and was an active member of Cooley's Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honors Society chapter.

Before and after admission to the Bar, Byron clerked at the Beltz & Beltz Law Firm and practiced as an attorney at The Reyes Firm and at Edison, Edison & Brandt. In 2020 he opened Temple Terrace Law Group with a partner; when the two decided they were each ready to pursue their own legal ventures, Byron transitioned his clients to Longworth Law in 2026 and opened his new office in the historic De Soto Building in Hyde Park.

Byron focuses his practice on personal injury, family law, and other civil litigation. He gives down-to-earth advice, steering clients toward the path of least resistance to the best result. His approach adapts to each case—some call for amicability and compassion, others for aggressive lawyering to get the job done.

​

In 2022, Byron received a quasi-judicial appointment from the City of Temple Terrace to serve on the Board of Adjustment, where he serves as Vice Chairman, helping render decisions on variance applications for land use. He is an active member of the Florida Justice Association and the American Association for Justice, and he volunteers to assist those in financial need with domestic violence actions. He continues to give back to Cooley Law School through Phi Delta Phi inaugurations and both the Moot Court and Mock Trial Boards. In 2026, Byron was named a recipient of Super Lawyers' Rising Star award.

Outside the office, Byron enjoys his two Siberian Huskies, wildlife, painting, DIY projects, and traveling the world, and he nerds out on paleoanthropology and ancient history. He is semi-fluent in American Sign Language and is glad to help members of the deaf and hard-of-hearing community navigate the legal system.

Byron is licensed to practice in all Florida state courts and in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
